BREAKING: Dean of students Jasmine Rush suspends a graduate student for two quarters, despite the conduct committee finding “insufficient evidence” for punishment. This is the SECOND time in the last few months the dean has overturned the evidence of a conduct committee to punish an alleged student protestor, despite the entire reason for the existence of these committees is to fact-find. This is part of a larger pattern of UCLA Administration ignoring the findings of their own investigators to punish anyone they suspect might be a student protestor. BREAKING: LA Superior Court Judge orders UC Regent Jay Sures to pay $150,624 for violating anti-SLAPP law In an unreleased proposed settlement reviewed by CNN, the Trump administration demanded UCLA pay $1 billion to the federal government, and pay another $172 million to those claiming to be impacted by violations of the employment discrimination section of the Civil Rights Act.
